Who we are

The Art of Life™ began with love, the love of a woman for her dog, Bear.

When Bear passed, our founder struggled with the idea of keeping an urn on a shelf. She loved him too deeply to remember him through something that felt heavy or sorrowful. Instead, she wanted something beautiful, something that could live on the wall and reflect his bright spirit, joyful energy, and the beautiful life he lived.

So she created a piece of art that transformed grief into beauty, light, and remembrance , a tribute that honored Bear not for his passing, but for the happiness, love, and uniqueness he brought into her life.

Through that experience, she realized this same approach could honor people as well. Families deserved a way to remember their loved ones through art, through legacy instead of loss.

Our goal is that every time you look at the artwork, you feel the happiness your loved one brought into your life, a final expression of their brightness and a timeless reminder of the beauty, meaning, and individuality of their life.

What began as a tribute to Bear has grown into a mission, a mission deeply rooted in her childhood.

She grew up loving art, spending weekend mornings with her dad playing a game they called “Art Shop.” Her father would create imaginary art commissions, and together they would dream up ideas, fulfill creative “orders,” and bring imagination to life. He always encouraged her creative spirit, nurtured her artistic voice, and taught her to see art as something meaningful, joyful, and alive.

Today, The Art of Life™ is a continuation of those mornings, a way to honor the time spent with her dad, the creativity he inspired, and the love of art that shaped her heart. What once began as a childhood game has become her profession, her calling, and her legacy.

In many ways, this company is a tribute to both Bear and her father and to the belief that love, creativity, and memory can live on through art.
